Integrated Approach Design

Whether it is the construction of a new facility, an interior build out or the support of a small building services project, Shanahan & Sons Builders, Inc. provides a truly integrated approach. Our in-house architect is involved in every phase of the project. Every project starts with a comprehensive needs analysis with the project owner along with a thorough assessment of site conditions and existing facilities (if any) in an effort to optimize land use. After a review of applicable governing codes and ordinances, preliminary construction drawings, schedules and budgeting suited to the project scope are generated while maintaining clear lines of communication with all the project team members. This insures a project which is on time and within budget.
Coordination of appropriate engineers and designers to provide supporting construction documents:
- Structural Engineers
- Civil Engineers
- Mechanical Engineers (i.e. H.V.A.C., Plumbing, Fire Suppression)
- Electrical Engineers

Expertise to seek project approval and necessary permits from the governing body(s) on the project owner’s behalf.
Discussion and interpretation of codes with building and fire code officials.
Presentation to recommending bodies (Planning & Zoning) and approving bodies (Boards, Councils, etc…).
Attendance at project inspections to ensure proper application of codes.

At Shanahan & Sons Builders, Inc. our in-house project management and construction staff is part of the project delivery at the onset of each project. Their expertise influences the design process, scheduling and budgeting.
Once the construction begins our staff already has a thorough understanding of the project requirements.
During construction, constant communication between the project owner and the design staff assures the project is completed to the project requirements.
